Kabir

A weaver by profession, Kabir ranks among the world's greatest poets. He was a saint who is revered by Hindu, Muslim and Sikhs alike.600 years back, this legendary saint challenged deep rooted social evils ailing the Indian society. The hall mark of Kabir's poetry is that he conveys in his Dohas(2 line verses), what others may not be able to do in many pages. Kabir openly criticized all sects and gave a new direction to the Indian philosophy. Indian bhakti movement is supposed to start with Kabir.
