Matar Paneer

250 gm Paneer

1 cup peas

1" ginger

2-3 cloves garlic

2 medium onions

2 big tomatoes

1 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp red chili powder

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp coriander powder

1 tsp garam masala

1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

2 tbsp ghee

oil for frying

 

Cut square pieces of paneer and fry it in oil till light golden.

 

Make a paste of ginger and garlic. Grate onions or grind in a mixer. Make tomato Puree.

 

Take ghee in a pot and fry the onion ginger paste. Then fry onions till golden brown. Add turmeric powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder, chili powder, and fry for 2 minutes.

 

Add salt and tomato puree and fry till it leaves the sides and ghee starts oozing.

 

Add peas and fry for 2 minutes and add 1 cup of water and boil it.

 

Now add paneer pieces and simmer for 5 minutes. Mix Garam masala.

 

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with your favorite bread or rice.
