Moong Dal (Green Gram) Vada

Ingredients:   Method:
2 cups moong dal (green gram), washed and soaked for 5-6 hours
Salt to taste
6-7 green chilies
1/2 tsp ginger paste
1/2 tsp garlic paste
Oil for frying

 

 

Remove the skin from dal which floats after soaking. Grind the dal into paste along with green chillies.

Add ginger-garlic paste. Add salt and Mix it well.

Heat oil for deep frying. Drop bite-sized pakoras into hot oil. Deep fry on medium heat till golden brown.

Serve with mint mango chutney or tamarind chutney.
